Landing Page: XBOX Year in Review

Task:  Create a landing page and social media campaign that would highlight XBOX Live customers gaming activity for the year 2018.

Challenges: Taking live gamer data from XBOX Live database and creating a 3d animated object that represented a customers activity from the previous year. Coordination with multiple agencies and teams within Microsoft to get customer data in a timely manner. Review of supplied gamer data for accuracy and privacy concerns. 

​

Project Partner: XBOX team, Gamertag data team, Third party agency, XBOX Key Influencers

​

Role: Lead Producer, managing design process, review and approval cycles and briefing dev and third party agencies on project needs. Working with localization team to prepare content for global customers. This project lasted for 3 months with multiple rounds of review and feedback from executive level creative and marketing stakeholders.

​

Results: The landing page and media campaign solidified the sense of community that is important among XBOX customers. Being able to use actual gamer data was the key to making this project a success. The same results would not have happened with canned data.

​

From a customer perspective the use of gamer data was an exciting experience from previous years of XBOX Year in Review.  The site was viewed by millions of XBOX customers in key markets worldwide. Video of customer using the site.
